Present your Photos in another way than on your Phone. I’ll show you how to use a 3D printed camera to build an eye-catcher for your shelf that save memories and is a personal diy photo album.
For this remix, I adapted the construction of the Leica M3 by ChaveTreze. The camera was hollowed out for this purpose. I also added holes for the rollers to the left and right of the construction. These are used to wind up the “film” with the photos. The entire model was then 3D printed. It can be found on Printables. The picture shows the back, camera body and the two picture rollers before reassembly on the right

Assembly of the camera album
After printing the supports are removed from the parts. Two woodden skewer are then inserted into the holes on the camera top. The rollers are threaded on the same time. You can see their position on the photo below. Depending on the thickness of the skewers the holes has to be widened with a drill or glued for better grip. In the base of the Camera are indentation for the axis. Last the control dials were glued on. The left dial consists of two parts. The second is glued after the core part has been mounted.

Creating and Printing the photo stripe
For the stripe you can use my template on printables. It’s available as pdf and image file. In editing the desired images are then placed behind the film grid from the template. This can be done with Libre Office or GIMP, for example. The finished file is printed out and the three tapes are glued one behind the other to form a film strip. It is important to keep the gluing area between the individual pieces as small as possible so that the film can be moved easily afterwards. I then attached the film to a roll with a strip of sellotape and rolled the film up. Same with the ofter roller and the second end of the tape.
Put the Camera Back on again an your individual Camera picture collection is complete.
